Recently, the English monograph Asian Horseshoe Crabs: Biology, Ecology, Conservation, and Utilization, which systematically expounds on the conservation and sustainable utilization of Asian horseshoe crabs and is co-edited by Professor Hu Menghong from the College of Fisheries and Life Sciences and Paul K.S. Shin, Co-Chair of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Turtle Specialist Group, has been officially published by Elsevier, an internationally authoritative academic publishing house.

The English monograph published this time systematically summarizes theoretical innovations, technological breakthroughs, and model experiences in the field of physiological ecology and resource utilization of the Asian horseshoe crab, providing a conservation plan for the world to draw on. It marks the transformation of the university from a participant in endangered species protection to a contributor of rules and knowledge, and a leader in global governance.

The publication of this monograph is yet another achievement in the school's tradition of writing papers on the rivers and lakes of our motherland and the oceans of the world, highlighting China's international academic leadership in the field of endangered aquatic species protection and sustainable utilization, and injecting new wisdom and strength into promoting global marine ecological civilization
