On September 19th, the 12th Shanghai International Martial Arts Expo, a grand event attracting martial arts enthusiasts worldwide, was grandly opened at the North Bund in Hongkou! Over 5,000 athletes from 35 countries and regions competed on the same stage, including more than 300 international participants, all joining in this martial arts extravaganza themed Global Martial Arts Movement · Exploring China. Three international students, undeterred by formidable opponents, demonstrated their outstanding performance and ultimately achieved excellent results of 1 gold and 2 silver, showcasing the remarkable demeanor of HUST students on the international stage.

This year's Wushu Expo was included in the C-level event system of the International Wushu Federation for the first time, unfolding with a 1+7 framework: one main event linked with seven special events. The school participants remained calm and collected on the crowded field, perfectly showcasing the fruits of their hard training. Myanmar international student Wang Chongting (MYA YADANA OO) won the first prize in the Women's C Group 24-Form Simplified Taijiquan event. Indonesian international student Yang Huimei (AGNES NATALIE NONE) and Myanmar international student Liu Yuanyuan (HNIN AUNG HNIN) both secured second prizes in the Women's C Group 24-Form Simplified Taijiquan event.
